This composite blend is the same concept used to manufacture composite lumber which is a blend of wood and resins. The result is maintenance free, durable and stable products that will need little care.

Manufacturing Process
The wood/resin ingredients are blended but not in a totally homoginous state. This gives the product its unique, agatized characteristics. The texture is enhanced by the random pattern created by the incomplete blending which is fixated by the immense heat and pressure. The cycle varies depending on the size of the bowl and its complexity.
The products are ejected from the molds, inspected and allowed to cool. Any excess flash around the edges is removed and buffed and inspected one more time. They are then packed into shipping cartons with kraft paper protection between each piece. | |
Sanitation
Since these products have non-permiable construction, they do not harbor bacteria like natural wood product do. All products are waterproof, dishwasher safe, easy to clean and will not warp, crack, peel or chip even after many years of use. They will withstand heat and cold and are almost unbreakable. These products are FDA approved and the company was certified with NHMA, the National Houseware Manufactures Association in 1998.
The products have been tested for use in microwaves and although no adverse results were noticed, they did not design them for this purpose specifically. Being a partial wood product, the container may heat up more than other manufactured counterparts.
